Keep the ice out of your gutters Winter is coming fast and you should be prepared. Most leaks in the winter are caused by ice backup. When the snow and ice freeze in the gutters the water backs up and pushes its self under the bottom shingles into your home. Simply keeping the bottom two feet and the gutters clear after every storm will drastically reduce your chances of leaks or damage.
